Question -
Hi,
I have recently completed a course showing me the application of nailite gel, i have been practising on my sisters but im finding that their extensions are just coming off after a few days, almost falling off! What do you think could be the problem? I'm preping the nail and applying the tip, blending it and then applying the white gel on the tip of the extension and then curing for 2mins and then applying the primer/bonder to the natural nail and putting the clear over the top and curing under the lamp, help i dont know what im doing wrong? Could you give me a breif run down off how you were taught to apply this gel, i'd be sooo grateful.
I'm also finding that after ive completed the set they look fine but then after a few days they become almost cloudy looking and dont look natural at all, i really want to have a go at this but am starting to give up because it seems like im having problem after problem.
Thanks alot

Looking forward to hearing from you.
I'm sure I'll be able to help you sort this out.

AnswerHi Rehana
The method you are using to contact me does not provide me with an email address with which to contact you.
Also, with regards to uv gel application, there is so much to consider and so many questions to ask to troubleshoot, it would probably take several emails to resolve it as opposed to a 10min discussion on msn messenger.
Having said that, I need to know:
Which gels specifically you are using (as they have several types)
I need to know every exact detail of every step of your prep
What primer/bonder you are using (especially since nailite gels do not require a bonder nor primer)
How many layers of gel.
Which kind of lamp you are using.
How old is the lamp.
etc...
Please get back to me on these questions.
In the meantime, I'll put together a detailed description of my steps.
Looking forward to resolving your issues.
best regards
Victoria
(my apologies for the delay in my response, I was away for a few days)
