Gel Application in Humid Climates: Avoiding Tackiness & Lifting
QuestionI have moved to an ocean community and there is a market here for gels. I am from the desert. Is it better to use a light system or is a no-light product OK. I have heard that some clients have had trouble with gels lifting or getting tacky in this climate. Any help is appreciated.
AnswerClimate will not affect gel application. As long as you are using the appropriate lamp with your gel product, and the bulbs are good, climate won't cause tackiness or lifting. These are caused by undercuring, which can happen if your bulbs are too old and/or you aren't using the lamp that came with the system.
Hope that helps!
