Best Nail Options for Healthy, Strong Nails | Salon Guide

Question
Ive had acrylic nails done alot and vowed to myself i would never get it agaian because it seems to always make my nails really thin and rubber like. Easy to bend and break. What is the best type ofnails to get in a salon? That wont ruin my real nails when or if I decide to take them off. What about solar nails? I heard about them but havent seen them yet.

Answer
Hi Kattie.
Almost all nails will essentially cause some weakening of the natural nails. You are putting product and or tips on your real nails which has weight. This weight along with the chemicals weakens your nails. Solar nails are pink and white acrylic nails. It is a nail done in a pink and white french finish using colored acrylic powders.
I recommend if you can manage with out immediate length opting for manicures every 2wks. This along with proper at home upkeep will get your nails beautiful in no time and naturally. If you can not deal without length then it is really up to you wether you choose wraps, gel, solar,or acrylic. It really depends on your lifestyle, hobbies, and future goal for your nails. Definately be sure to have a good consultation with your nail tech. If they are any good they will sit you down and ask questions to determine the right enhancement for you.
Good Luck
