Troubleshooting Acrylic Nail Adhesion: Causes & Solutions

I use competition by OPI. Lately I can't seem to get the acrylic to stick where I can't just peel it off. I am doing my nail prep properly. I am roughing the nail plate slightly, I use bond-aid and bond-ex. I never have air bubbles, I don't get any acrylic on the skin to cause lifting, but I can grab the corner and easily peel the entire nail off, intact. I can't imagine what I'm doing wrong. My bottle of Monomer has been open since December, as well as my powder (i'm a new graduate this stuff came in my kit) Does it have a shelf life that could cause this to happen? I'm trying to do this professionally but I don't feel comfortable since it doesn't stick..any advice on getting good adhesion would be so helpful. thank you!

Hi,

I think you should ask OPI if they can get you replacements for your product or if there is a lot # on the jars they can tell you if the product has expired so to speak! The order inwich you have explained your application sounds correct to be it sounds like a product issue not a user issue!!!
