QuestionQUESTION: Hi,
I had my big toenails removed and have been trying to get false nails with medical grade glue but there only available in the US, can you tell me if there is any other glue I can use as I am not sure about putting the glue you get with nails onto skin.
Thank you

ANSWER: HI there
Thank you for your question!
Elaine, I had my large toe nails removed as well and it took sometime for them to grow back, instead of glueing on false nails, ask your local esthetician to give you a GEL OVERLAY, This is basically the same as gel nails but WITHOUT the nail tip glued onto the nail plate.
It consists of what is called "GEL NAILS" OR "GEL OVERLAY" and you prep the nail plate apply the gel and place under uv light, 3 times in total, then you can either leave as is, natural or paint the new toe nail, you cannot notice the difference at all.
As your natural plate grows back in the gel will grow with it as you leave a very small portion between the toe nail cuticle and the plate to allow for growth, about 1/8th of an inch to be prescise`
Please try this, it worked well with me, if you find that you require alot of maintenance or the gel will not stay on for long periods, you can always place a nail color on the toe, it is not a great idea but it will work temp.
But i really suggest the gel as it allows the nail area to breath.
Please rate my reply and Elaine please let me know how this works for you so I can advise others please. I know it worked well for me and it took a few months for the nail plate to grow in completely but it did eventually grown in and it was normal, there were no imperfections in the new growth.
Best Wishes,

QUESTION: Hi,
Thankyou for getting back to me so quickly, I have got the rio uv gel nails kit at home as I do my finger nails with this so I will definately try this, I got my toenails removed permanately so I was wondering if I can use this long term.
Thankyou
Elaine White
AnswerHi Again Elaine.
Yes you can use this long term but as any chemical service please give your toes a break, just to allow them to breath, as you do not have a nail plate and therefor you are applying the gel right on the nail bed, where the nerves are and where nourishment and growth take place.
If you ever get an infection or swelling or anything that might indicate a sensitivity I would discontinue use and move onto another product. Manufacturers are always coming out wit new products with lower chemical compounds for the nails, giving we are a very health conscience world.
Thanks for your follow up Elaine.
