Orly Gel Polish Staining: Causes & Removal - Nail Care Advice

I have gel nails on after 2 days of refilling them I decided to put on the Naughty polish from Orly, a few days later when I removed the polish my nails were stained orange like I used an orange color not just a little stain but the whole nails covered in stain and now i have to remove my gel nails. I also used Orly's defence base coat and Seche vite top coat. What caused it and how do I remove the stains next time it happens?

As far as I can see it there has been a reaction with the base coat or pigments in the Naughty color. I checked the color and it is deep red right? What could have happened is that the base coat was not completely dry and reacted with the polish. It is not the quality of the base or topcoat for these are OK. What I do not understand is the discoloration of the gel nails because cured gel is non porous for other colors or solvents. If acrylic it is difficult but could be possible. I would try to see what happens next time on one nail letting the base coat dry completely ( 3 minutes) and apply the polish twice with 3 minutes interval and the top coat and them see what happens.

What brand of gel are you using and is it shiny after wiping with cleanser the last sticky residue or is it a dull surface.

Let me know if this helps and let's see how we can avoid this next time. Suppose you will not remove your gel nails but just file the orange away and seal them again with a gel sealer like Intense seal from IBD ( no need to cleanse anymore)?
