Gel Nail Fill Reaction: Causes, Symptoms & What To Do

I have gone to the same place for years with no problems.  My regular manicurist was out of town so I went to his brother at the same station using the same product.  I got redness and itching around my nail beds.  It finally healed and I went to his brother yesterday and I got it again.. any thoughts?  They use liquid gel.  This is a new problem for me, the itching is intense.

There is a common misconception about gel,
If your tech is using a powder and liquid it is not a gel.
I have been hearing allot of techs using a gel sealer over acrylic.
But even that is not usually a gel it is just a sealer.
Gel products come out of the jar in a gel consistency and need to be cured under a UV lamp.

My suggestion would be to soak those nails off ASAP.
Call around and find a reputable salon that does gel nails.
You will pay a little more but you will have nails that are safer for you. Look up MMA in nail products on line it is an outlawed additive in acrylic, people tent to be highly allergic to it.
