Gel Nail Maintenance: How Often Do You Need Fills?

How often do I have to go to the salon for gel nail maintenance.  I had to go every two weeks for "fills" on my acrylics - is it roughly the same for gels?

Yes it is.  Gel, if it's good, high quality gel, is a bit lighter than Liquid and Powder enhancements (AKA ACRYLIC), and if you are not using them for tools and regularly oiling your cuticles, you can possibly go closer to 3 weeks.  My gel clients go 3-4 weeks if they are wearing a forever french enhancement.  Color gel needs to be seen sooner because the color grows out and can look unattractive.  Just be sure to check out the training your tech has, and get references!
