Gel Nail Application: Circular vs. Polish-Like Techniques - Expert Advice

Hi Sylvia!
I was trained at nail school with Ez Flow products and use them on clients.As fas as concerning gel, we were taught to take an amount of gel on our brush, put it on the nail bed and with soft, circular motions spread the gel on the entire nail.I want to ask if I can apply the gel like I apply polish, the three motion, or only in circular motion.I have read that you can apply the gel as you apply polish and I am a bit confused here.It sounds easier applying gel as nail polish but I haven't tried it yet.

Dear Kristina,

The first layer you can apply like nail polish, that makes the second layer easier to apply. But the second layer you have to build a nail so you need a amount of gel and spread it with circular motions. If you only apply like nail polish the result is a thin, flat nail without a arch location.
