Pink Nail Powder vs. Pink & White Manicure: Is It Worth the Extra Cost?

Question
Hi, I just got my nails done for the first time.  The nail lady asked me if I wanted pink powder and said it is more common and better.  It cost me $15 more.  Now I know pink and white is a manicure style (I found out after.)  But I just got the pink and then had her paint them.  So did I waste the pink or does it do something else like make my nails stronger?  She kind of made it sound like the pink was for improving the nail, not just the look.  Thanks!

Answer
It sounds like your nail tech pulled a fast one on you.  Pink powder is no different than clear, or natural, or white, except for the color.  And if she polished over the whole thing, what good was it?  Good for her, of course--she made $15 more bucks off you than she would have otherwise! But you didn't get anything that was "better" for your nails for the extra cost. Please check out the salon locator at www.cnd.com, or at www.beautytech.com, to find a reputable nail tech in your area. A good tech will always have fair pricing!

I hope this helps!
