QuestionHi There!
I had an accident today and I have ripped my acrylic and natural nail away from the nail bed, I have sprayed it with savlon and I am keeping a plaster on it, any tips on what else I should do to speed recovery?
Many thanks

Answerhi alanna, ouch!!
i have done this b4, i know how it feels.
a few important things.
1, if the nail is still attatched, u must reduce length or soak off what is left. if there is only a little bit of product left on nat nail, dont worry about that now.
2, a plaster will pprotect the injury, but it is imperative that you keep it clean and DRY. bacteria love to multiply in dark, damp, warm places, just like underneath a plaster!
the injury should recover in about 48 hrs.
try not to have another nail put on until it is completelypain free.
when u do have a nail on, depending on how much your nail has come away from the bed, keep it as short as poss.
remember an artificial nail will put pressure and weight on your new nail which will b trying to grow back.
hope it recovers quickly, liza
