Acrylic Nail Removal Burn: What Happened & What To Do

Question
I went to a place called "Fantastic Nails" to get my acrylic nail taken off. I only had one acrylic nail left. The guy there didn't speak any English which was very fustrating. He first clipped the end of my nail. Then he soaked my nail in acetone. Then he started to sand off the acrylic nail with an electric sanding machine. He went down past the acrylic and started to sand my actual nail. All of a sudden I felt a sting and I looked down and I saw a red spot. I thought that it was the bottom of my nail but later on that day I found out that it was a burn. How do I heal the burn on my fingernail. It really hurts and my nail is extremely thin. I need your help. Can you give me any advice?

Answer
Dear Melissa, This is a very bad experience. You never take off Acrylic Nails with a machine, only by soaking!!!This is the only way to protect the natural nails. I think the damage is done already and I advice you to visit your docter. You don't want any infection so let the docter give you the right medicine.
Good luck and plaese find a better nail salon.
