Biosculpture Nail Discoloration: Causes & Safe Removal

Question
Hi - I am a teacher who just got biosculpture gel nails for the first time.  I want a natural look so the polish is a translucent/pearl color.  The problem I am having is discoloration around the edges of my nail from the markers that I use on the dry erase board in my classroom.  After two days, the edges of all my nails are a dull gray color at the edge near the cuticle.  What can I safely use to remove stains from the gel nails?  Thanks.

Answer
You need to check with your tech -just in case for the exact product information.

Most gel enhancements are solvent proof, so you can take a bit of polish remover and the stains should come right off.  But if they are soak-off gels, that wouldn't be a good idea.

Ask your nail tech to seal the nail with a gloss that can hold up to the dry erase board and it's markers.  If they can't do that, you might want to shop around for a new tech that can meet your needs.

Good luck!  Let me know if I can be of further help. :)
