Understanding Nail Gel Curing: UV Light vs. Alternatives

Hi Sylvia..My question is can the gel dry without the uv light? I use to use resen on my nail tips and a spray to dry them..What is it about these uv lights that dry the gel? Is it just the heat..because i can just place my hand under a lamp for that matter. Is there anything else to use other then a uv light to dry the gel?

Dear Sandra,

As the name already implicates UV gel needs UV light to cure. It is not the heat but the UV rays that cure the gel. It will have the same effect when you will place the UV gel jars in direct sunlight; it will cure the gel, slowly but it will.

There is no alternate way to cure gel other than under a UV light. Make sure you buy a UV light from a trust worthy brand such as EzFlow or IBD.
