Solar Nails: What Are They & How Long Do They Last?

Ok, so I have an appointment tomorrow to get nails for an event i have on staurday. the thing im confused about is, are pink and white tips the same as solar nails and if so, about how long will it be until i have to go get them refilled?

"Solar Nails" is just a marketing term for pink and white nails that seems to have become very popular at mostly lower-end salons. It's just pink and white, and usually acrylic.

Depending on how they place the white tip, your French look will last 3 to 4 weeks looking really nice and usually looks good for up to 6 weeks before you'll need a "back fill"-- a technique used to "back up" the white at the tip so that it doesn't look grown out. Not all salons are proficient at back fills and they may insist on just replacing the whole set if you want a fresh French. Nothing wrong with that really, just make sure they don't rip the old product off your nails! You should never remove product from your nails by ripping, nipping, or prying it off. It needs to be soaked in acetone until it falls off the nail by itself or filed off gently so as to make sure not to file into the natural nail.
