AnswerMy clients average 14 to 21 days between fills.
You didn't specify which type of "fake" fingernails you tried. Did you have acrylics put on professionally? Gel? Or did you do them yourself from a kit? Or did you use a press-on type nail?
If you are having your nails done professionally with acrylic or gel, you should easily be able to go 2 to 3 weeks before needing to have them filled and rebalanced.
A "fill" or "rebalance" is when you go back to the salon and have the technician apply new product at the cuticle area where your natural nail has grown out. At this time, a good tech will also properly rebalance the nail, this involves adjusting the arch over the stress area of your nail to reinstate a proper balance so that the extension is less likely to break, lift, or crack under normal stress.
You don't really need to change them out or remove them if you are having them regularly maintained.
