My 15yr old daughter has nibbled her nails until recently, but only because she has just had her braces off and a plastic retainerput on her teeth!
I have always rewarded her with manicures if she has managed to leave them alone.
Ask someone to maybe buy you a voucher for a mini manicure for your birthday, orsave your pocket money.
It really does help you to stop biting and also, when all the cuticles have been tidied, you will have more room on your nails to paint on.
while they are short, keep the colour pale to medium. dont paint a french polish (white tips) as this will make them look even shorter.
One colour all over will look better.
mayb get some rhinestones from Claires or superdrug and stick them onto the polish b4 it dries, one in each corner. That will sparkle and take peoples eyes away from the shortness of your nails.
