Finding Alternatives to Discontinued Cosmar Quik Fit Nail Tips
QuestionBecause I can't afford to have my nails always done professionally, I have done my own for years and loved Cosmar Quik Fit Nail Tips (sport or petite). They were small, light, thin, cheap and fit my fingers. I just discovered that they're discontinued and I can't find anything close to them. Do you know if there is anything similar on the market? I hate the hard, thick "claws" which is all I can find. Many thanks.
AnswerSandy,
I am not familiar with too many nail tips as my preferred method is to sculpt the free edge using forms. However, I would not recommend that someone who is not trained even attempt this because it does take some tricks and practice. What I would recommend for you is that you look for something that is pre-blended because with most nail tips you are suppose to blend them (meaning file them thinner) before application and after they are glued on so that they won't be thin. I always recommend that you have professional complete nail and other services because there are some things to be aware of when using nail products. Like the acrylic monomer should never touch the skin. Usually when you are not trained you wouldn't know many of these things. If you are going to do your own nails I would recommend that you seek some training on the subject. I would love to give you more info e-mail me at jdebarb@msn.com
Good Luck
