Solar Nails vs. Gel Nails: Addressing Yellowing Concerns & Application Compatibility

I have had "light concept" gel nails for some years now and because it was taking up to 3 hours to get a pink and white fill on the nails, I have decided to go back to solar nails.  However, my nail tech tells me I cannot put solar powder white on the tips over the gel and I would have to have a complete new set of acrylics (which would involve soaking off the gel nails) to be able to do this without the tips turning yellow.  Is this true?  I

Yes its true! You need to soak all your nails in acetone to remove it correctly. Unfortunitly You can either have Gels or acrylics you can't have a combination of the two! Unless you just want a clear gel top coat over your acrylics. Good luck:)
