Thin Gel Nails: Using UV Concept Gels & Nail Tek Xtra

I've been getting my nails done for years with traditional acrylics. I'm going to take them off in a week or so, but I don't want my nails to be completely weak and awful. Can you use just one layer of the U.V. Concept Gels or anything similar to have a gel nail, but thin? If so, what is the best product to use? Thank you!!

You can do that, but then you have to grow the gel out. Have you heard of a product called Nail Tek? They make a wonderful product called Xtra. I have successfully removed my own nails, applied 3 coats of this(over shortened nails) and have been able to do without my nails for a good while. You will just need to apply 1 coat a day for 7 days, remove w/ polish remover, apply 3 coats and repeat the process of 1 coat per day. I cannot tell you how many people I have been able to help out of artificial nails.
