Smashed Finger with Acrylic Nails: Should You Remove the Nail?

I have acrylic nails and the day after a fill (two days ago) I smashed my ring finger. There is blood under the acrylic nail (it is all purple) but the acrylic did not crack or break. Is it okay to leave the acrylic nail on or should it be removed?

Ouch! I know that really hurt, I have done the same thing. In my opinion, leave it. The only reason for removal right now would be if it begins to throb or you notice any signs of infection(pus, pressure, smell). You may just end up having to use polish for a while until that grows out. Be sure that whichever salon you go to is very clean as right now you are more prone to infection.
