QuestionThis question may be a bit long winded, I'm so sorry. Anyway, I have really nice, long and strong natural nails, but I like the look of acrylics. My nails usually get to a certain length and then I'll hit them on something and they snap and break. I want to get an acrylic overlay on my natural nail, but I'm afraid it will damage my nail bed. I've had acrylic nails with a tip applied and it killed my nail bed, and it took me a really long time to get them back to normal. So my question or questions are should I get an acrylic overlay? If I get them will I need a fill in? How should I take care of them? And if I do get them and want them removed, how do I take them off?
Sorry if this is really long.
Thanks
AnswerHi Tee,
If I were you I would get gel nails, they are less damaging to
Your natural nails! Make sure were you go has real gel or you will
End up with acrylic again and they will tell you it is gel!
A gel nail is in a gel consistency when applied until it goes under
A UV light to get cured! It is never in a powder mixed with liquid form.
Gel has a very low odor does not yellow and lasts 3-4 weeks before you need a fill.
You will pay more for a real gel set but it is worth it!
Good luck!
