QuestionI have been having my nails done for about a year and love them! The last 2 times I came to the conclusion I have an allergic reaction or chemical burn- my fingers got blistery, red, swollen etc. my dr put me on an antibiotic and suggested I stop having them done, but I like them. I read somewhere the powder kind where they refill my nails with the powder is what I now get, what can you suggest as an option for me?
AnswerSheri,
It sounds like you have been overexposed to the product. You need to make sure your tech NEVER gets product on your skin. EVER..
You can get the resin and powder, but these are not as strong as the acrylic or gels. (TRUE gels)
Why not have your tech give you the band-aid test to see what you are reacting to? If she is up-to-date on her education, she will know how to do this for you.
You can also make a solution of baking soda and water to apply to your hands immediately after the last buff and before your polish. Wash your hands with it and it will alleviate the itching.
Good luck. (sorry it took so long to get back to you... I had a VERY busy week at the salon and did not get on the computer all week!)
buenos dias,
Lynnette
