Identifying Antique .925 Bracelet: Mexico & Aztec Symbols
QuestionHello, I obtained a .925 bracelet from an estate auction. There are 4 separate pieces that are joined together(just over 7"). It definitely looks hand-crafted. One piece has the shape of Mexico raised(with the word Mexico surrounding it with 2 birds flying over it), with symbols on both sides, the other 3 pieces look like aztec symbols with other markings. There are also #'s on the back near the .925 that look like 157 60?If you could let me know where to research the info. I would greatly appreciate it. Cindee
AnswerG'day Cindee and many thanks for your query
If you've even been over the border you will have seen thousands of similar items all made for the tourist trade. They are not expensive and most carry the 'Mexico' stamp.
Silver means it is general goods, so don't be caught up in the 'Hand-Crafted - so it must be worth something' syndrome.
The numbers on the back are simply the Makers mark or design number.
Hope this helps.
