QuestionMy grandmother past away a few weeks ago.
She left me with a ring that is awesome.
It has the number 85 on the inside ban, then a C with a circle around it.
On the other side (inner) it has the 14k then some vague symbol is script that looks like (JC) and then what looks like the number 7.
There are no stones but it is a large surface area that has 23 areas where stones were never there, and it looks like honey combs .
If you have any info, I would be thankful,
Dave
AnswerHello Dave and thank you for your inquiry. Your ring does sound beautiful and you should take it to a professional gemologist or estate jewelry appraiser for more information and a valuation. I did not locate any manufacturer with the letters or number you provided but there have been so many producers that it is difficult to check them all. You could check with your local museum or antique shop for a referral to an appraiser. They will usually do a single item for under $25.00. There are also online appraisal services that will work from a good photograph. Use your browser search and look for online jewelry appraisers. You should find several listed. Hope this helps and good luck.
