Identifying a Vintage Gold Ring with LBFE Insignia

Question
As a young man, my father wore a gold ring with the initials LBFE on it.  He met and married my mother in the early 1940's and she says that he had that ring when they first met and he wore it all the time.  I was wondering if you had any knowledge of what the initials represented. There are what appear to be black shovels on each side of the letters. The "L" is white, the "B" and "F" are black and the "E" is pale blue It is 10 K gold.

Answer
Hello Kaye and thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately I have not been able to locate anything at all on these initials or mark. Do you have any other information i.e. where it was purchased ? It could be that this is an inscription of some sort rather than a manufacturer marking. I'll keep looking and let you know if I find anything. Sorry I couldn't help on this one.
