Understanding 14K Gold & Diamond Authenticity: A Guide

I have bought a diamond ring. It is stamped 14k magic gl. What is magic gl?Is it real gold? Are there some simple ways that can check whether the diamond is genuine? Thank you very much.

Hi Emily, Without seeing theitem I can not of course tell whether it is genuine or not but your best bet is to take it to an independent appraiser found in the Yellow pages or one working at a jewelry store to give you a positive ID,. Good luck.
