Authenticity of 14K Gold Meda China Jewelry: A Discussion

Question
Hi Thomas,
I was just reading a question that a gal named Stacy had asked you last month about some ring guards that she had purchased with a stamp that read 14k Meda China.  She had purchased her item from ebay as silver, I think.  I have purchased my item as 14k gold.  I'm wondering if you have any way that I could reach her to ask her what she found out about whether or not it's real gold.  I do appreciate your time.  Gail

Answer
Gail, I am back.  Stacy graciously got back with me. Yes, she did get a real bargain since jewelers tested the rings and the conclusion was 14k white gold.  There you are!

Gail, the allexperts site keeps e-mail addresses confidential, not telling me yours or telling you mine.  The only way I get an e-mail address is if the questioner includes that in the body of the question text. (If that is done, I suggest using "private" to keep the address off the public web if the answer is published.)

What I can do is find the original question, send a follow-up to her and ask. If she replies, I can then reply to you.  That is about the only way to do it.   Oh, there is a chance the question may no longer be active in which case I cannot contact the previous questioner. I will give it a try.

God Bless and Peace.  Thomas  May 29, 2008
