HOW CAN I POLISH ROUGH SAPPHIRE I HAVE A SMALL TUMBLER
I WOULD LIKE TO GET A SHINE ON THE STONE SO I CAN SEE THE COLOR  AND IF ANY CAME BE CUT DO YOU CUT SAPPHIRE AND WHAT WOULD BE A PRICE ON CUTTING  MIKE

Hi Mike,

I polish sapphire with diamond powder.  As far as tumblers I can not say for sure but sapphire which is corundum should work to some degree.  Diamonds are polished with diamond.  Mainly because there is nothing harder, so I am thinking the same should be true for sapphire, except there is diamond which is harder but fairly expensive.

You might talk to some rock shop dealer who sells tumblers.
