Identifying Earring Hallmarks: Horseshoe 'C' Marks

The marks on my 14K earrings look like two C's back to back.  They are not like Coco Chanel's interlocking curved C's.  These are elongated C's like horseshoes.  The lines that make them C's are at the center, back to back but not interlocked. Marks very tiny on end of clips, difficult to see without a loop.  Thanks for any help you can give.  Pat
