Identifying Vintage Pewter Charm Bracelet: Help Needed!

Question

pewter charm bracelet
"I purchased this bracelet at an estate sale sometime ago.
The are no markings or hallmarks that I can make out.
I have no idea what these little figures represent.  Do you have any idea?  They range in size from 1" to just over an inch and I have no idea of the age.  The clasp has no lever and opens by the round circle on the end.  Thanks for any help"

Answer
Hello Rita and thank you for your inquiry. Your charm bracelet is very interesting. It seems to have the same character pursuing different activities, occupations and one has the name "Joe" on the front. I haven't been able to find anything similar in my resources. However, there are several books available on vintage charms. You might check your local library, bookstore or use the following link to amazon.com

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keyword...

Just copy and paste the above link into your browser address field and hit enter.

The internet has quite a few sites listed that specialize in charms. I did check a few, but if you use the words "vintage charms" you'll pull up several more to check. Ebay.com auction is also a good place to check for charms and charm bracelets. Since your's is so theme oriented it may be difficult to trace. It could be "Joe" was a character in some book or popular icon. You might try a vintage charm "blog" or yahoo group. People that specialize in particular jewelry items are usually quick to help others.

Sorry I couldn't give you more information but good luck and enjoy your bracelet.
