Removing Copper Stains from Silver Jewelry: A Guide

I wore my silver bracelet and necklace into a pool spa which had copper in the water from a new heater coil.  The silver now has a dull green appearance.  What can I use to remove the copper stain?   thanks for your time, kirstin

Hi Kirstin, I wish retailers would inform their patrons of the variables when purchasing jewelry but for some reason they do not. A home remedy would be to secure a tube of SemiChrome polish from a hardware outlet and polish the bracelet your self. Do not use any silver dips or the like as for the most part they are not quality solutions. If this is not to your satisfaction you then can bring your item to a good jeweler in your area and them professionally restore the original sheen to the metal. Good luck.
