Identifying Victorian Cameo Bracelets: Understanding GC & CO. Markings

Could you please help me if you can with finding out about a potential purchase I would like to make in regards to a Victorian Cameo Bracelet.

I am trying to track down info in respect to the maker, the only markings on this are GC & CO.  Are you able to provide me with any useful information regarding the company who has made this bracelet please.

So far the only description I have is:-
"18 carat gold bracelet with large white shell cameo inset mounted on pale pink cameo base" and that the markings have GC & CO on it.

I REALLY CANNOT ADD ANYTHING OF SUBSTANCE TO THIS DISCUSSION. GC&CO IS PROBABLY FROM DREAT BRITIAN, NEW ZEALAND OR AUSTRALIA I BELIEVE BUT NOTHING CURRENT ON THEM. IT SOUNDS LIKE AN IMPRESSIVE PIECE AND WOULD BE A GREAT PURCHASE. GOOD LUCK
