Value of D.F. Briggs Locket Bracelet: Appraisal & Repair Costs

I have one of those bracelets from the D.F.B. Co.  It's the locket style bracelet.  Is there value to this bracelet.  Some of the links were broken and soldered by my grandfather.  A jeweler has asked me two thousand dollars to repair it.  Thank you so much for the information.

Hello Denise and thank you for your inquiry. I don't think the jeweler wants to repair your bracelet. Most of these bracelet made by D. F. Briggs were goldtone or gold-filled and in good condition are usually valued around $50-$100. They are very collectible but repairing may be difficult.
