Vintage F M Co. Gold Bracelet with Oval Amethyst - Circa 1899

My grandmother gave me a gold bracelet with the hallmark "F M Co" on the inside.  It has one oval amethyst with some decorative gold filigree on each side of the stone.  It is a bangle bracelet with a button clasp.  The amethyst is approximately one inch long.  She received the bracelet from her aunt on her 10th birthday which would have been 1899.  She was living in Michigan at the time, but her family was originally from Canada.

Hello Barbra and thank you for your inquiry. FM Co. is Finberg Mfg. Co. in Attleboro, Mass. They were active from approximately 1890 through about 1934 and manufactured fobs, bracelets, lockets, necklaces and pendants. In Canada their name was listed as F.M.C.
