Understanding Topaz Ring Markings: What Does 'Ring' Mean?

I recently purchased a cute little topaz/crystal ring, but the marking confused me.  It is simply marked "ring" on the inside band.  Is this a sample ring?

Hello Bonita and thank you for your inquiry. This may be the way the manufacturer catalogues his items. Unless you have the manufacturers name and can check with them about the mark, it will be difficult to find out much more information. If you purchased it at a jewelry store, you might try to contact them to find out where they purchased the ring so that you can follow up for more information.  Hope this helps and enjoy your ring !
