Silicone Coating for Sensitive Metal Rings: Relief & Longevity

My wifes ring sometimes makes her finger have a reaction to the ring we have had it resized so that it will not be as tight... is there a protective coating that we can have put over the ring

    Sorry for your trouble. Many people experience this due to the extra acidity, in their skin coming in contact with metals. You might want to try a coating of Silicone. This might relieve the problem but it will wear away with time and a re-application might be in order. Also, is the ring yellow gold? You might want to switch to white gold or even Platinum.
