Identifying Your Silver & Black Diamond Brooch - Expert Advice

Hello, I have a brooch which is silver and black. The piece have diamonds that I know are not real on top. There is a banner across the bottom of the brooch with two small hearts on each side.With some writing I can't make out the first word(Le?y little thing)Thank you.

Hello Brenda and thank you for your inquiry. It would be difficult for me to give you much information without a good photograph, any hallmarks or markings or a hands on examination. You might have some luck browsing one of the online auctions such as ebay.com  They have a jewelry category that you can specifiy certain aspects of your piece to use for a search.  Since it has hearts on it - possibly a piece of sweetheart jewelry ? You might want to have the metal tested for gold or silver. Check with your local museum or antique mall for a referral to someone who could do this for you.  Sorry I couldn't be of more help.  Good luck
