Authenticity & Dating: Botticelli Brooch Appraisal - Gemological Laboratories

I purchased a brooch with a large pearl that is signed Botticelli. I wonder if you know how long Botticelli has been making jewelry? This was purchased at a rummage sale. It appears to be silver.....I would like to try to date this piece.
