Understanding 'POT' Stamps on 18kt Gold Chains: What Does It Mean?

Hello,   I HAVE A CHAIN THAT HAS 18KT THEN IT ALSO HAS THE WORD _POT _STAMPED ON IT WOULD YOU BE ABLE TO TELL ME WHAT DOES THAT MEAN I'D REALLY APPRECIATE THE INFORMATION. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Hello Gianne and thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately I have not been able to match "POT" up to any manufacture,logo or designer. I also tried to find out if it was an assay designation, but have had no luck. If you want to verify if your chain is genuine 18K you should take it to a jeweler or gemologist for an acid test. This test should be done by professionals in order to not damage the chain. I will put the name on my "search" list and can let you know if anything comes up on it in the future.
