Cat Bite Safety: What to Do After a Kitten Bite

Question
MY 21 WEEK PREGANT DAUGHTER JUST GOT BITTEN BY STRAY KITTEN, TWO SMALL PUNCTURE WOUNDS..WHAT SHOULD WE DO...

Answer
If it is possible you need to catch the kitten.  If no owner is known the kitten needs to be turned into the local shelter.  The kitten will need to be watched for ten days to make sure your Daughter will not contract rabies, a fatal disease.
Beyond that the bite needs to be cleaned very well, and a Dr. call should be made.
Cat bites have a high instance of infection and this should not be risked with your Daughter being pregnant.
Good luck to you.  I would love to hear how things turn out!
