QuestionI supposably have it one spot quarter inch too halh inch round and relitive sugested I got it from my cat. What do I do, Do I have my cat suposably get treated first or what?.
AnswerWhat usually happens, is the cat is infested with ringworm ( fungal infections ) and the cat crawls on you and scratches you a little teeny bit- not even enough to draw blood but enough to inject some of the fungal particles that start growing. It is noticed byt the body and walled off, but the body can't quite get rid of these lesions, but the body does stop it from invading the body adn keeps it limited to the superficial skin.
Assuming it isn't real red and inflamed, you can use prescription cremes like Sporoox, Lamisil,Mycolog II, or try over the counter like "spray on" Lamisil.
We typically don't do much for the cat.... the cats are fairly resistent to the fungus and if you clean them, it will simply come back and they really don't seem to care.
Hope this helps....
