Do you have a thoughts for helping our 5 mo. old daughter sleep thru the night.  When she was 2 months she slept 8-10 hrs and now she is getting up 3 times just to play.  It's almost like she just wants to be with us and does'nt understand we need sleep.
Answer -
Hello Aaron. Is she being breastfed? If so, is she eating anything but breastmilk? Does she sleep in your bed with you? If not, why not? Get back to me with these answers and I will try to help. Cheri.

She is not breastfeeding, she eats formula cereal and is starting on step one jar foods.  Also I will not let her sleep in our bed due to safety reasons and I don't want her to get used to it.

Answer
Well Aaron, I can't really help  you- I only have experience with breastfed children and ALL of my clients- including my own children sleep with their infants from birth until the child desires to leave the family bed on it's own. These families sleep very well. The safety issue is nonsence. Most children around the world sleep in the family bed except for "enlightened" North America. Sorry- Cheri.
