Air Travel During Pregnancy: Safety Guidelines & Recommendations

I am 21. I have one daughter. My last menstrual period was March 15,2004.
When is it not safe to travel by plane?

You can safely travel by plane throughout the entire pregnancy. HOwever, we usually like you to be around your obstetrician when you go into labor, so we suggest that you refrain from going on a plane in your last month of preganncy. Since you are due on December 21, you can travel until November 21 by plane. Remember that flight attendants are not really trained to deliver your baby. There is no restriction in plane flight by the airlines, but I would suggest that you get a letter from your obstetrician stating that you can fly (just so that a zealous airline employee does not interfere with your plans).While you are traveling by plane during pregnancy, walk around the cabin, empty your bladder every hour, and drink plenty of fluids.
