QuestionI've been on the Depo Provera shot for almost two years now and have never missed a shot. But lately I've been feeling like I might be pregnant. It seems like every morning I wake up with more symptoms, the normal ones that most women have and the less common ones that I've experienced with both my previous pregnancies. However, I have taken 3 hpt's and they are all negative.
I know that Depo is very reliable BC, but I was wondering if it could be possible that I am pregnant. Also, is there something about the Depo shot that would make me test negative if I am, in fact, pregnant?

AnswerIf you are pregnant, a pregnancy test would show a positive result. DepoProvera does not interfere with a pregnancy test. If you have any doubts, take a blood test for pregnancy which is a bit more accurate. However, since DepoProvera is 99% effective against pregnancy, I doubt that you are pregnant if you have not missed any shots.
