Minocin & Early Pregnancy: Risks and Safety Concerns

Hi-
I'm 25, no children, and I'm not even sure if I'm pregnant.  LMP- Oct 2,2005.  
My concern is that I take Minocin for acne, I'm wondering if I do get pregnant and don't find out for a few weeks into the pregnancy, would I be putting the baby at risk on this medication? Is it a teratogen?  I don't have an appt with my derm for a few weeks, and I just need to know.

Tetracycline id contraindicated during pregnandcy. Tetracycline can cause adverse effects on fetal teeth and bones, maernal liver toxicity, congenital defects, etc. Once you find out if you are pregnant, stop using tetracycline. It is doubtful that your use before you find out that you are pregnant will have any adverse efects. Since your last period started on October 2, you probably ovulated on October 15, and could have conceived if you had sex only on October 14,15,16, or 17 this month. If you did become pregnant, a pregnancy test will not show a positve rsult until 14-21 days later. The best time to take a pregnancy test is seven days after missing your next period. If you have a positive result, stop taking tetracycline immediately.
