Faint Positive Pregnancy Tests at 9 Weeks: What Could It Mean?

I keep going back and forth about being pregnant... one day, I know I am.  The next, I know I'm not.  I'm about 9 weeks along, based on my predicted ovulation date... I have taken several (!) home pregnancy tests.  Some come back negative, some positive... depending on the brand (and I assume how long I held it before testing)... the positives have all been fairly faint, making me think maybe i'm not as far along as i think.  Anyway... what I'm wondering is this:  do ALL pregnant women decide that they couldn't possibly be so fortunate as to have a perfectly normal, healthy child or am i a nut for thinking that?  Of is it my body trying to tell me something?

I am not sure if all pregnant women feel the way you do, you may want to ask a psychologist that question.  But it seems to me form your description that you are in fact pregnant.  Holding in your urine will not chage the results.  The amount of hormone that can be detected in your urine is constant.  A faint positive does not indicate how far along you are.  If you are so uncertain, I suggest you go see your doctor and ask for a blood pregnancy test.  It will tell you for sure.  Best of luck to you.
