Post-Ovulation Spotting: What Does It Mean for Conception?

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 8 months now. This month I ovulated on or around day 15-16. Today, on day 18,there was light pink spotting together with mucus discharge. I would like to know if this is still considered mid-cycle spotting due to ovulation even if it is 2-3 days past ovulation.

Is this a good or bad sign if we are trying to conceive?

The spotting certainly coud be due to ovulatory bleeding or "mittelshmerz". This is commonly seen in mid cycle, and if you bleieve that you ovulated two days ago, it is still within the definition of "mid cycle". It should have no adverse relationship to trying to conceive.
