Post-D&C Bleeding: What to Expect After a Dilation and Curettage

I am 26, I had a D&C on 10/24 for a missed miscarriage. 30 days later on 11/23 I had what I thought was my period.  Red blood for 1 day and brownish spotting for 4 days.  Then today, 12/10,  I have started bleeding red blood again, maybe this is my true period?  Is this normal, should I call this cycle day 1 again?  How long will it take for my cycle to get back to normal?  Thanks for your help and opinion.

After a D&C for a missed abortion, you should get your period in around 28 days. For the next few cycles, you may have weird periods. It is common to have very short or very long periods. The brownish spotting is "old" blood from the uterus. The bleeding that you started on December 10 may be ovulatory bleeding which can occur at the time of ovulation. Just keep a record of all your bleeding. It should regulate within a cycle or two.
