QuestionI recently had my IUD removed after 7 years, and my husband and I are trying to concieve. We have had sex almost daily since the removal. My last period began on Nov 1. , and I just begun bleeding yesterday (which is slightly off cycle)and just took a negative pregnancy test. Is there any chance that I still may be pregnant?
AnswerIf your last period started on November 1, you would have ovulated on November 14 and could ONLY have conceived if you had sex on November 13,14,15, or 16. If you did, indeed, become pregnant on one of those days, a pregnancy test will not show a positive result until 14-21 days later. The best time to take a pregnancy test is seven days after missing your period. YOu were due for your period on November 28, so the best time to take a pregnancy test will be after December 5. Take a pregnancy test today and you will know for sure. I would suggest that if you are trying to conceive, do not have intercourse every day of the month since you can only conceive around the time of ovulation.
